What scheduling behavior does Engage support?

Short answer
Short answer
Engage can route a visitor to an active booking destination configured for the workspace. The destination—not the chat message—remains responsible for showing availability and confirming the appointment. AJAI's own Engage review calls use the shared AJAI calendar at /book?product=engage.
Before you start
- An active booking destination or approved follow-up route
- A clear activity, location, or service mapping when more than one booking path exists
- A completed test that reaches the destination without creating a real customer appointment
Treat the booking link as a configured next step
A workspace can hold active booking links with a label, destination, activity, and optional brand or location context. Engage can select the appropriate configured link and present it as the next step in supported channels.
If there is no matching active link, Engage should offer human follow-up rather than fabricate availability or a destination.
Know what counts as confirmed
A visitor clicking a booking link is not confirmation. An appointment is confirmed only when the destination reports success. For AJAI review calls, the public calendar shows available slots, collects the requested contact fields, and returns a booking reference after the reservation succeeds.
- 01Confirm the destination URL and activity mapping.
- 02Verify that the link shown in a synthetic conversation opens the expected service or calendar.
- 03Stop before the final booking action unless you are using an approved test environment.
- 04Confirm cancellation and rescheduling instructions with the destination owner.
AJAI review scheduling
Public Engage review buttons use https://ajai.pro/book?product=engage. That calendar is AJAI's shared review calendar and is not the same as a customer's operational booking destination.
Availability and limits
What to keep in mind
- Booking destinations and supported activities vary by workspace.
- Engage should not state that a time is reserved until the booking system confirms it.
- Rescheduling, cancellation, payment, and intake rules belong to the destination unless a separate integration is explicitly configured.
